This has been the most most effective hand-switch electrocautery hook combined with suction-irrigation we have used. We performed all laparoscopic cholecystectomies using this instrument. This is the only device of this type we use.

The LigaSure™ Vessel Sealing System is a unique energy-based ligation method. Complete hemostasis is achieved by reforming the collagen and elastin in vessel walls to form an autologous clip. The following are vessels typically within the recommended vessel sealing range (up to and including 7 mm in diameter), and can be sealed with the LigaSure™ System.

It works best for Short Gastric Vessels Dissection in Lap Nissen, for Mesenteric Dissection in Lap Colectomies, for Greater and Lesser Curvature Dissection in Lap Gastrectomies.

This was the first hemostatic product of its kind and dramatically enhanced the technical abilities of laparoscopic surgeons .

The HARMONIC SCALPEL uses ultrasonic technology, the unique energy form that allows both cutting and coagulation at the precise point of impact, resulting in minimal lateral thermal tissue damage.

It offers greater precision in tight spaces near vital structures. Fewer instrument changes are needed, less tissue charring and desiccation occur, and visibility in the surgical field is improved.

Introduced commercially in 1993, the HARMONIC SCALPEL and the LaparoSonic Coagulating Shears (LCS) have now been used by thousands of surgeons worldwide in laparoscopic and open surgical procedures, including cholecystectomy, Nissen fundoplication, bowel resection, and adhesiolysis.

This device has 5 [LCS 5] and 10 mm [LCS 10] delivery system and has a curved or straight blade.

This is the 5 mm Autosuture version of the harmonic scalpel. Although we found it more reliable than its counterpart both instruments have identical capabilities and very similar performance.
